Have you ever noticed, enviably, how some people wake up with a smile on their face, 'wagging' their tails and saying to themselves and the world, "Life is Good!"... those rare individuals who seem to make the most of each moment. Well, my friends, Chase, the benefactor and namesake of this humble institution is just one of those fortunate characters.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Chase spent his formative years watching his Grandmother (Mother Dear) and Grandfather (Dadare) raise their litter of 13 pups while running their neighborhood restaurant, Nick's Cafe.
Blessed with a rugged constitution, a total disregard for convention and in possession of an uncontrollable appetite for alcoholic spirits, exotic foods, good music and beautiful women, Chase set off to make his fortune and set his mark on the world. Sailing throughout the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, in pursuit of his passions, he developed a reputation as a "bon vivant" and raconteur. (Better judgment dictates that we leave the details of this period of Chase's life to your imagination.)
Years later, he finds himself out West with pups of his own, and almost overwhelmed with a huge desire for the look, feel and tastes of home.. The Big Easy, New Orleans. Remembering his native roots and the good creole food just being in his 'blood', he decided to launch Chase's Bar & Grill.
So there you have it. A lifetime story packed into a tiny pecan shell. The story of Chase's.
